Dirt and soil are the largest predators on destroying carpet, hardwood floor and natural stone floors. Sand, dirt or pebbles wear thin carpet fibers. They also scratch up your hard surface floor and embed themselves into the surface of your floor and become hard to remove with typical household cleaners.
Your Cleaning Solution
First, make sure you have a quality doormat. Having a doormat prior to entering the house and a doormat or entry rug inside you front, back and side door is the best recommendation.
Second, investing in a quality vacuum. An upright vacuum with a good beater brush will remove a large amount of particles from you carpet. If the vacuum has micron filtration and or HEPA filtration, this will help eliminating dust particles from floating in the air.
Also a secondary vacuum may be need for your hard surface floors. Mops and push pad broom/mops only move dirt from one section of the floor to another section. A vacuum with a non-moving brush attachment will pick up the dirt and soil from the floor.
Third, have your carpet, tile or stone floor jet extracted. At a minimum, once a year, you should have your carpet, tile or stone floor professionally cleaned. Delight Cleaning believes regardless of what cleaning method you use, the final process should always include rinsing your floor with fresh clean water. Our jet extraction method rinses the floor and removes the water, chemical and soil completely from you floors.
Good Luck!
